In West Easton, Pennsylvania, a 3-alarm fire erupted during the early hours of Tuesday, April 5th. Within minutes of arriving to the multi-tenanted warehouse, the first responders started to extinguish the fire and checked for any hotspots throughout the day, while the Northampton County and Environmental Protection Agency officials ensured that the air and water quality were safe.

Prior to the fire, the multi-tenanted facility housed a transportation and warehouse company, a powder coating/sandblasting company, a plastic recycling operation, and other businesses. The presence of chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials in the building prompted the dispatching of Hazmat crews to the location.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Pennsylvania State Police are jointly conducting the investigation into the fire. Thankfully, no one has reported any injuries, although the fire affected several businesses and nearby powerlines.
