Billowing flames engulfed the roof of Clark Specialty Company, Inc. while firefighters douse the building with water to control the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and all employees were not in the building at the time of the fire. The Director of Public Safety and Steuben County Fire will continue to investigate the cause of the fire. The building was completely destroyed, and the investigation will take time. The surrounding area unfortunately lost electrical power for hours due to lines getting destroyed in the flames. Firefighters were challenged due to powerlines down and the building collapsing, but the fire was eventually extinguished by 1 AM the following day.

Multiple counties assisted in extinguishing the massive fire throughout the night.
